Introducing our CBAM-Compliant I-REC(E) Corporate PPA Template

The I-TRACK Foundation, in collaboration with DLA Piper, is proud to announce the launch of our CBAM-compliant Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) template, designed to help electricity producers and consumers comply with the EU’s carbon reporting requirements under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), alongside a suite of essential documents, including country-specific annexes.

Click the CBAM button on the homepage to explore:

  • What CBAM covers and how it shapes global carbon reporting policies.
  • CBAM-compliant templates, like the CPPA template, and country-specific annexes tailored for the following jurisdictions: Albania, Egypt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe.
  • Easy-to-follow guidance, sample clauses, and FAQs for project developers, buyers, and legal teams.

Why this matters:

With CBAM moving into full effect across Europe, businesses must demonstrate the origin and emissions profile of their electricity imports. The CPPA template empowers energy producers and purchasers to document traceable electricity flows via I-REC(E)s and embed compliance directly into contractual agreements.

Our goal is to provide a flexible, neutral framework that supports market participants outside the EU in demonstrating CBAM compliance, simplifying alignment with EU regulations through adaptable contract templates built on international best practices.
