The Managing Director of the International REC Standard Foundation (I-REC Standard Foundation), Jared Braslawsky, will be speaking on a Turkish-spoken webinar that will be held on July 27th, 03:30 PM Istanbul. Please note that the presentation from the I-REC Standard will be the only English-spoken presentation.

The webinar elaborates upon a proposed renewable energy certificate (REC) scheme for Turkey and the effects of such a scheme on electricity markets. In addition, the perspective of electricity generators and electiricty traders towards REC schemes will be given by the respective associations.

I-RECs have been available in Turkey for multiple years now and the I-REC Standard Foundation is looking forward to further contribute to the development of a robust REC scheme in Turkey by sharing its experience and expertise. The conversations that are being held with relevant stakeholders in Turkey are seen as an important step towards developing a robust Turkish REC scheme that fits with Turkish legislation while adhering to international best practices.
