Enam Akoetey-Eyiah leads the growth and adoption of the International Tracking Standard Foundation: Founder of I-REC (I-TRACK Foundation) in Africa. She is working to leverage existing regional electricity power pools to establish single regional EAC markets across Africa and champion I-REC(E) for distributed and dispersed renewable energy devices to promote energy access, security, and just energy transition and democratize payments from ecosystem benefits.
Enam has worked in development, sustainability, and environment for various organizations across the United Kingdom and Africa since 1998; Enam is the first Ghanaian woman to start a tree planting initiative that successfully equipped communities with inputs to raise over 500,000 seedlings for distribution to schools, communities, and agroforestry farms. Enam has worked with the Ghana government and the World Bank to replace 6 million incandescent with CFLs to conserve 254MW of peak demand and avert an energy crisis. She also developed a programmatic CDM- CFL4All energy efficiency project.
In recent years, Enam has worked on the first GHG Protocol – Scope 2 corporate greenhouse gas report in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Africa Policy and Programs Department of Christian Aid on advocacy projects such as the Africa-EU Economic Partnership Agreement and hugely successful campaigns such as ‘Trade Justice’ and ‘Make Poverty History.’ She has also championed inclusive development by encouraging and initiating partnerships with environmentally and socially driven businesses that did ‘good’ in Africa

Wa’el Almazeedi is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avance Labs. He acquired his energy, project financing and technology commercialization experience working in the oil, gas, and electricity industries, multilateral development, and private equity, while stationed in (in alphabetic order): Boston, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuwait, London, Yokohama, and Washington, D.C.
He is a recipient of the 2006 EY Entrepreneur of the YearTM Award in the Energy Category for the New England Region of the USA and currently serves on several national and bilateral hydrogen and energy transition committees in the MENA region.
Avance Labs is a global data-driven hydrogen accelerator spearheading the development of a universal energy attribute tracking and certification scheme for hydrogen and hydrogen derivative fuels and products accredited by the I-Track Standard Foundation (formerly the I-REC Standard Foundation) and enabled by data science and the Internet of things (IoT).

William Barrett is the Vice President of Product Development at 1PointFive, LLC. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University with magna cum laude honors in 1988, and an MBA with concentration in International Business from the University of St. Thomas. William is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas and serves on the University of Houston’s Petroleum Engineering Advisory Board. Achievements in his 36 years of industry experience include managing activities resulting in secure geologic storage of CO2 in the largest CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operation in the world. Mr. Barrett has been involved in all aspects of the CO2 business including CO2 supply, transportation, and carbon capture, utilization and storage. He has extensive experience and knowledge in selection of secure geologic storage sites and the design and application of monitoring, verification and reporting (MRV) programs. Mr. Barrett played a part in the U.S. NPC’s 2019 publication “Meeting the Dual Challenge, A Roadmap to At-Scale Deployment of Carbon Capture, Use, and Storage”. In his current role, William is involved with efforts to advance leading-edge, low-carbon technologies and business solutions, as well as supporting the life cycle analysis for carbon emissions in different processes.

Jared Braslawsky is a leading expert on the use, implementation, and functionality of attribute tracking systems such as the United States REC, European Guarantee of Origin (GO), and the global International Tracking Standard Foundation (formerly I-REC Standard) adherent certificates [I-REC(E)]. He has held leading positions with GO industry organizations such as RECS International and currently holds the role of Executive Director of the I-TRACK Foundation.
Jared’s expertise has been used in a technical capacity by organizations such as RE100, CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), RE-DISS II, CEN/CENELEC, the European Commission, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (under WRI), Energy Peace Partners, D-REC Initiative, Gold Standard, Energy Web Foundation, the Energy Tag Initiative, and many others. Beyond this, he frequently supports governmental and legislative policy creation around the globe. Jared dedicates time to speaking at public events on corporate carbon accounting, Scope 2 emission, and GO tracking market design. Julie leads 3Degrees’ global renewable energy-related policy engagement, working directly with government agencies, NGOs, and trade associations to track and analyze changes to regulations and standards that impact corporate carbon reduction strategies. Her focus is on promoting policies to advance clean energy and commodity markets outside of North America, particularly for scope 3 decarbonization. Prior to 3Degrees, Julie led development of resources and training opportunities to accelerate corporate procurement of renewable energy and supply chain decarbonization at the Clean Energy Buyers Association.
Julie brings over 15 years of experience in renewable energy and international development. She previously served as a clean energy consultant for the Asian Development Bank, where she worked with governments in Southeast Asia to identify, finance, and monitor clean energy projects and programs. She also has experience supporting USAID-funded clean energy programs. Julie holds a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University and bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Dance from Shenandoah University.

Hallie is a data-driven leader passionate about accelerating the clean energy transition. She currently leads technical standards and data democratization efforts for Google’s Climate team, unlocking the use of data and software for grid decarbonization. Hallie began her career in energy consulting at the Brattle Group and enhanced her analytics chops as a data scientist at a San Francisco start-up before joining Google in 2019. At Google, she helped establish the data infrastructure and tools to measure, track, and forecast their 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy program. Hallie holds a B.S. in Economics from Duke University and a Masters in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.

Killian runs EnergyTag’s, a non-profit focused on enabling the granular electricity accounting that will transform what it means for companies and products like hydrogen to be 100% clean. Alongside the world’s top experts, Killian led the process of drafting the EnergyTag Standard, which created the Granular Certificate, a robust hourly energy attribute tracking. The Standard is supported by hundreds of organisations including dozens of the world’s leading sustainability players. Prior to joining EnergyTag, Killian managed global energy strategy at Air Liquide, one of the world’s largest hydrogen producers. Ed is the CEO of Evident. With over 25 years of experience in energy and environmental markets, he was a participant in the RECS Test Phase from 1998, a founding member of the Association of Issuing Bodies in 2002, and a national representative for several countries until 2015, advisor to the UK Government on the Renewables Obligation, and advisor to the European Commission on the Guarantee of Origin.
A former director with multinational engineering and environmental consultants Ramboll, Ed has also been Chief Finance Officer for many power project developers and advised businesses, banks, and governments on energy markets and project viability. As advisor or operator, he has been responsible for the implementation of verification services for renewable energy production in over 20 countries outside of Europe.

Elbia is a mother of three and an active contributor to the global debate on diversity and economic inclusion in the energy sector. Leading ABEEólica for more than a decade, she defends the idea of transforming the Brazilian energy sector and has been strongly contributing to the development of renewable energies and new technologies. She is co-founder of “Energia da Transformação”, a collaborative platform to promote diversity and social inclusion in the energy sector. In 2019, she received the “C3E – Clean Energy Education & Empowerment – Woman of Distinction Award”, an international initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial and the International Energy Agency (IEA). She is a global ambassador for Brazil in the WomeninWind Global Leadership Program (GWEC-GWNET), designed to accelerate the careers of women in the wind industry. Elbia holds an Economist degree and a Phd in Engineering. She has a career of more than 20 years in the energy sector. She accumulated experiences at CCEE, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Finance and at ANEEL. With books and articles published, Elbia is a specialist in Electricity Regulation and Markets, working in the area since 1998.

Benjamin Gerber is the President and Chief Executive Officer of M-RETS. Under his leadership, M-RETS developed and successfully implemented an industry leading environmental attribute registry. Initially, this allowed M-RETS to increase its footprint from 15 states and Manitoba to all North America. The M-RETS platform brings unprecedented innovation to the industry as well as access to data in pioneering ways such as hourly production data and peak period production data. Under his leadership, M-RETS achieved the first of its kind hourly REC claim in collaboration with Google, where it was a focus on the Google Cloud Blog.
M-RETS recently launched a renewable thermal tracking system. This first of its kind system in North America facilitates market transparency, liquidity, and prevents double counting by issuing a unique, traceable digital certificate for every dekatherm produced by renewable thermal technology. M-RETS users retire certificates to comply with state policy or to serve the voluntary market and to ensure that certificates are not double-counted.
Ben attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with a degree in political science. He graduated from William Mitchell College of law and is admitted to the Minnesota State and Federal Bar. Ben is a sought-after speaker on issues related to environmental commodities as well as innovation in the utility sector. He has been published by energy news outlets such as Utility Dive, Greentech Media, and Forbes and appeared as a guest on local and national media and conferences to discuss renewable energy, decarbonization, and the role of technology and innovation in the utility sector.

Hans supports some of the world’s largest brands to achieve deep decarbonization across their supply chains. He is responsible for the implementation of the Lock23 auditing protocol—a new tool that enables brands to link their Scope 3 emission reductions to Scope 2 decarbonization across their supply chains. In his capacity as Operations Director, Hans is responsible for ensuring the Lock23 protocol meets brand/supplier needs and is recognized by the major reporting frameworks(CDP, RE100, etc.). Hans has nearly a decade of experience working as an interpreter, delegate, and IT-specialist for the International Committee of the Red Cross, and is an expert in project management with high-level interlocutors.

Vladimir Grigorov is the Head of Trading for I-REC and all non-EU/US renewable energy certificates at STX Group. He is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and leads and coordinates the trading activities of EACs in close cooperation with Strive by STX, the corporate climate action arm of STX Group and the STX origination and sales teams across the globe, with a focus on Singapore and Mexico.
Vladimir joined STX Group in 2022 and prior to that he gained extensive knowledge in energy commodity trading and renewables with a 14-year career as a European Power Trader at two of the largest European Utilities, Vattenfall and Eneco.
Vladimir holds a Global Energy MBA degree from Warwick University, UK, and has a degree in business administration and economics from Eberhard-Karls University in Tuebingen, Germany.

Bruno is responsible for continuous improvement of PepsiCo’s Resource Conservation (ReCon) program within the operations, contract manufacturer, and franchise partners. In partnership with global teams, sectors teams, and our value chain partners he will be responsible for deploying ReCon training, frontline engagement plans, and documenting best practices in energy & water use efficiency. The yearly ReCon Maturity Assessment will be led by Bruno as well.
Bruno has been with Pepsico for 6 years where he has held roles in both the PGCS and PBF (Brazil Region), and for the last 3 years, he led the Sustainability agenda for the Brazil Sustainability Office as part of his role as Engineering Coordinator for PGCS. During this time Bruno led several pep+ projects such as; the transition to 100% RE, Zero Landfill Manufacturing Brazil, 100% Post-Consumption BOPP Recollection, Thermal Solar in Sanitization & Pasteurization Processing, and building a strong collaboration with our Franchise bottlers, to name a few. Bruno has a strong background in lean manufacturing & productivity and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Jen Wee is a pioneer of business models for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) in Singapore. He is the Founder and CEO of REDEX, the developer and operator of Asia’s leading trading platform for RECs.
Guided by Jen Wee’s vision, REDEX built a one-stop ecosystem that enables organizations to adopt renewable energy conveniently to meet their sustainability goals. Chee Yong earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Cornell University. Furthermore, he holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore. She has 15 years of extensive experience in renewable energy project development, REC trading, and carbon asset consultancy. Zhenlan is recognized as one of the earliest international experts in China’s carbon market, having been involved in nearly 60 carbon credit projects including CDM/VCS/GS/CCER/GCC.

Michael Macrae is a Director with GHG Protocol Secretariat. He leads the process to develop revised scope 2 standards as well as strategic oversight of updated GHG Protocol inventory and intervention accounting methodologies. Prior to WRI, he led development of Enel North America’s clean energy market advocacy and regulatory strategy for the Northeastern United States, ensuring and enabling growth of distributed energy resources, renewable generation, energy storage, demand response, and electric vehicle infrastructure. Michael has also worked with Harvard University, overseeing their GHG Inventory program as well as managing the University’s wholesale and retail electricity market participation, developing energy procurement strategies to meet energy supply, environmental, and sustainability needs. Leadership positions in that capacity included serving as Vice Chair of the NEPOOL End User Sector, Vice Chair of the NEPOOL-GIS working group, and a member of the joint nominating committee for the ISO-NE Board of Directors. Michael earned his PhD in chemistry from University of California, San Diego and currently teaches courses on carbon accounting at Harvard University.

Carla Primavera began her career at Esso Brasileira de Petróleo and joined BNDES in 2000. Michael’s primary responsibilities are ensuring that the code and certification process adheres to best international practice for product-level carbon accounting and life-cycle assessment.
Michael is also the Owner and Principal Consultant at Three Pillars Consulting (‘TPC’), an environmental and sustainability services company based in the Sultanate of Oman. TPC is the local accredited issuer for I-TRACK Electricity Certificates (‘I-REC (E)’) in Oman.
Michael has 13+ years of experience in the fields of environmental sciences, sustainability, and public health and how they are related to sustainable production and consumption within industry. Prior to these roles, Michael was a contract-consultant to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), in the department of Risk and Decision Sciences. There he worked on risk assessments, life-cycle assessments, and multi-criteria decision analysis for low-carbon energy sources such as biofuels and mitigation strategies for the civil engineering sectors. Michael was also a Research Fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, D.C. within the Office of Research and Development’s (ORD) Chemical Safety for Sustainability (CSS) program. Professor Paulo Emilio V. de Miranda is a full professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ, and head of the Hydrogen Laboratory at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering, Coppe/UFRJ. He holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering obtained at UFRJ, and post-doctorate works developed at the Ecole Centrale de Paris and the Université de Paris-Sud, France. He has published more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He holds 15 patents and has advised several BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
Professor de Miranda works on the development of materials, technologies, and devices for the adoption of hydrogen energy. One of his main research lines is on the development of specialty anodes for solid oxide fuel cells that allow the direct utilization of either methane or ethanol as fuels, impeding carbon coking and clogging without any pre-reforming treatment. Another important research line of his is on the development of hybrid electric-hydrogen fuel cell plug-in buses. He is President of the Brazilian Hydrogen Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy, a Brazilian representative at the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy, a member of the International Advisory Board of the European Fuel Cell Forum, member of Engie’s International Scientific Council and Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Materia.

Roble has a decade of experience supporting clean energy development in Asia and the Pacific. He is the Director of Global Partnerships and APAC for the International Tracking Standard Foundation: Founder of I-REC (I-TRACK Foundation), and the founder of SuSca Group. Through these roles, he supports governments, utilities, IPPs, and Fortune 500 companies to transact clean energy in line with the I-TRACK Foundation’s International Attribute Tracking Standard.
Roble’s work focuses on market building in the EAC space. Recently, he has supported governments and utilities across Southeast Asia to engage with the I-REC Standard Foundation. This has enabled the development of EAC markets across the region, and has supported dozens of brands and their supply chains to meet renewable energy targets in line with the RE100, Science Based Targets initiative, and other major reporting frameworks.
Previously, Roble helped process large-scale infrastructure projects for the Asia Development Bank and other development partners in the region. He is passionate about bridging public and private sector interests to support high-yield, low-carbon economic growth.

Katrien is the strategy coordinator for the European Energy Certificate System in the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), which in Europe sets a standard for guarantees of origin for various energy carriers like electricity, gas, and hydrogen. She is the coordinator of the EECS Gas Scheme Group and chairs AIB’s auditors’ team.
She also helps quality-assuring and updating the EnergyTag standard for granular certificates that facilitate the temporal and geographical matching of electricity production and consumption. She feeds standardization tracks in CEN and ISO with expertise in energy origin tracking. Through the Enunda Academy, she provides masterclasses & trainings on energy origin tracking.

He is the former Director of Digital Climate Markets at the International Emissions Trading Association where he was involved in launching Climate Action Data Trust, a metadata layer for carbon markets in partnership with the World Bank and Government of Singapore. And prior to that he held several rules at trading houses across energy and agricultural markets. He has a bachelor’s in global business and a diploma in commodity trading from the University of Geneva.

Over the past two years, she has directed her efforts toward the registration of renewable energy power plants within the IREC system and managing issuance processes in Turkiye. Simultaneously, she has taken on the responsibility of managing compliance processes and has been dedicated to enhancing ISO management systems.
Currently, she is deeply engaged in developing methodologies for Foton ECO Labeling Programs, a product of Foton Energy. Her focus is specifically directed towards companies that procure 100% renewable energy, developing methodologies for labeling to enhance its effectiveness.
