Sapna Nijhawan

**Founder and CEO

Sapna Nijhawan is the Founder and CEO of Sustainiam, a climate tech company building digital infrastructure for the multibillion-dollar environmental commodities market. A Yale and Kellogg management alumna, she has spent years leading digital product development across international financial markets.

Sapna founded Sustainiam on a clear conviction: environmental markets need connected digital infrastructure to scale. Today, emissions measurement, asset issuance, discovery, and trading remain fragmented across disconnected systems and manual workflows.

Under Sapna’s leadership, Sustainiam is addressing this gap through its Carbon Management OS. It’s an integrated suite of climate tech products comprising ECal (Emission Calculator) for API-led emissions measurement, CiP (Certificate Issuance Platform) for digital renewable energy project registration and EACs issuance, and EmX (Emission Xchange), a unified platform for discovery and trading of carbon credits and EACs.

Sapna’s vision is to build digital infrastructure that enables organizations to turn climate commitments into measurable action, accelerating the global transition to net zero.
As she puts it: “Sustainability has a liquidity problem. We’re the fix, turning the planet’s balance sheet into a live market, because climate goals don’t count until they clear.”
