Massaporn Kannasoot

Massaporn (Mas) Kannasoot is an accomplished expert in energy economics and policy with extensive experience in energy regulation, electricity tariff design, and energy planning. With a Master’s degree in Energy Studies with Specialization in Energy Policy from The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Economics from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, she currently serves as Chief of Strategic Project Management at the Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission (OERC) in Thailand. Mas has played a pivotal role in advancing Thailand’s energy transition, particularly through the design and implementation of Demand Response measures, Utility Green Tariff and ERC Sandbox in promoting renewable energy and market liberalization. Her work spans over two decades across various areas, including local energy planning consultancy and sustainable energy project management in Southeast Asia and Africa. She has also served as an advisor to the Electricity Pricing Sub-committee of Thailand’s House of Representatives and a regular speaker on energy-related topics.
