Carla Primavera began her career at Esso Brasileira de Petróleo and joined BNDES in 2000. Currently, she serves as Superintendent of the Energy Transition and Climate Area at BNDES, leading teams that structure financing for energy sector projects including electricity generation, transmission, and distribution, energy efficiency, new energy technologies, and natural gas, as well as representing the area in public and private institutions. She also oversees teams responsible for the entire climate agenda at BNDES. Previously, she served as Head of the Infrastructure Legal Department at the bank, leading legal teams and conducting analyses of regulatory, contractual, corporate, financial, and environmental aspects of projects to achieve long-term credit objectives sustainably. She has experience in project finance operations in the infrastructure sector. Carla Primavera holds a law degree from UERJ and an MBA in Law and Business Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
