*Since the date of this news item’s publication, the organization ‘The International REC Standard Foundation’ has changed to ‘The International Tracking Standard Foundation: Founder of I-REC (I-TRACK Foundation).’
In adherence with the International Attribute Tracking Standard, C-Capsule, an initiative of Carbon Finance Labs and Evident, created a Product Code for Carbon Dioxide Removals (CDR). This Product Code is seeking Accreditation and as a result, stakeholder feedback is requested. The Methodology for Distributed Biochar is seeking Approval and requests feedback before submission to the I-REC Standard Foundation.
The C-Capsule Code for CDR describes the implementation of the International Attribute Tracking Standard in delivering a Product Certificate for CDR. The Methodology for Distributed Biochar describes the detailed requirements for biochar kilns to be eligible for issuance of C-Capsule Certificates.
With this email, we are announcing a pre-Accreditation consultation supported by the I-REC Standard Foundation on the C-Capsule Product Code. Carbon Finance Labs and Evident are also leading consultations on the Methodology for Distributed Biochar. This consultation has been created to get stakeholder feedback and help us improve the C-Capsule Code based on your input and put it forward for Accreditation by the I-REC Standard Foundation Board.
