Normex, the I-TRACK Foundation Accredited Issuer for Mexico, is hosting a one-day, in-person event on 21 February 2025 in Mexico City. I-REC Day Mexico is aimed at a select group of sector professionals, associations, sustainability consultants, and specialized journalists. Representing the I-TRACK Foundation at the I-REC Day Mexico is the Executive Director, Jared Braslawsky.

This panel will offer a unique perspective on the benefits and challenges companies face toward a more responsible energy future.

“Market Perspectives: The Future of I-REC Certificates in Mexico”
Speakers: S&P, STX, EQUITABLE ORIGIN
Description: In this session, an expert from S&P will provide an in-depth analysis of the impact of I-REC certificates on the Mexican energy market, highlighting current trends and growth projections. Representatives from STX will share their experience as traders of I-REC certificates, focusing on how they facilitate the buying and selling of these certificates and contribute to sustainable markets. EQUITABLE ORIGIN will present the impacts of their ESG certification (Environmental, Social, and Governance), emphasizing how it contributes to more comprehensive sustainability compliance and social and environmental responsibility in renewable energy projects. The session will also discuss market opportunities and challenges, and how to maximize the impact of I-REC certificates in Mexico’s energy transition.
