The Accredited I-REC(E) Issuers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE).

Both Issuers perform their tasks in the North Emirates of the UAE, but the WGEO is the sole Issuer for the Emirate of Dubai and the DoE is the sole Issuer for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi

In adherence with the law of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, certificates issued from devices located in Abu Dhabi will be restricted in their place of consumption. These certificates will not be eligible for redemption outside the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
