Eduardo Borja is Trading Director at Ammper. He leads the power and commodities trading desk across the different energy markets in which Ammper operates, with a strong focus on environmental commodities. He has led the execution of trading strategies and market-facing commercial initiatives, working closely with suppliers, generators, and traders in wholesale and bilateral markets. His experience also includes the negotiation and execution of long-term PPAs and VPPAs. He has traded a broad range of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) worldwide — including I-RECs, CELs, and RECs — and has been responsible for power and capacity trading in the Mexican Power Market.

Throughout his career, Eduardo has held progressively senior trading roles at Ammper, spanning operations in Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia. He began as Trading Manager for Power & Commodities, before advancing to Deputy Director of Trading and Head of Ammper Europa. He established the company’s European operations, launched its natural gas trading division, and led the negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements. He then took a brief pause to join STX Group in the setup and execution of its business strategy in Mexico. He recently returned to Ammper as Trading Director, a role in which he now leads the company’s global trading operations.

He holds an Executive MBA from IPADE Business School and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy and Sustainability from the University of Barcelona (UNIBA).
