About the I-REC Standard Conference (ISC) 2027

The International Tracking Standard Foundation (I-TRACK Foundation) is pleased to announce the third edition of the I-REC Standard Conference (ISC), taking place on 26–27 January 2027 in Istanbul, Türkiye, at the Istanbul Marriott Hotel Sisli.

The I-REC Standard Conference (ISC) is a flagship event of the I-TRACK Foundation. Previous editions brought together delegates from across the globe, reflecting the growing importance of credible attribute tracking systems in international markets.  The ISC2027 marks a significant milestone as just the third convening of this international forum, underscoring the I-TRACK Foundation’s commitment to engaging stakeholders at pivotal moments in the evolution of global attribute markets.

Building on the focus of the previous two conferences, the theme of ISC2027 is Standardizing Global Attribute Markets. This theme reflects a core organizational objective of the I-TRACK Foundation: to advance robust, transparent, and interoperable standards that support the credibility and scalability of attribute tracking systems worldwide.

While the full program is currently under development, the ISC2027 will provide a structured platform for dialogue among market participants, standard-setters, policymakers, regulators, and other industry leaders. Discussions will explore key developments, emerging regulatory frameworks, and practical implementation challenges, and opportunities, in the standardization of global attribute markets, with a particular attention on the role of the I-TRACK Foundation and the markets it facilitates.

The ISC2027 is designed for corporate and industrial energy users, compliance and sustainability professionals, policymakers, and market operators seeking clarity, credibility, and strategic insight into the evolving landscape of environmental attribute markets.

ISC2027 will bring together leading experts and practitioners from across the I-REC(E) market and the broader environmental attribute ecosystem. Delegates will hear from representatives of the I-TRACK Foundation, including the Executive Director, Code Managers, Issuers, Registry Operators, and Platform Operators, alongside policymakers, regulators, corporate buyers, traders, and other key market participants. The conference will provide a unique opportunity to engage with stakeholders shaping the development, governance, and implementation of attribute tracking systems worldwide.

Participants will gain insights into the latest developments in environmental attribute markets across multiple regions. Sessions will examine evolving regulatory frameworks, market design considerations, and regional market dynamics, with perspectives from stakeholders operating across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The conference will also explore how increasing international coordination and standardization efforts are shaping the future of these markets.

The conference program will provide opportunities to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of attribute tracking systems and their interaction with international policy, corporate renewable energy procurement strategies, and emerging compliance frameworks. Discussions will address developments related to renewable energy certificates, hydrogen and renewable fuels tracking, and other emerging environmental attribute markets, as well as broader topics such as market transparency, interoperability, and the increasing importance of credible standards in supporting global energy transition efforts.

ISC2027 will also highlight the evolving role of the I-TRACK Foundation and the growing relevance of robust attribute tracking systems in global energy and climate governance. Delegates will gain insight into how the I-TRACK Foundation’s work continues to support the credibility, transparency, and scalability of environmental attribute markets, as well as the broader ecosystem of stakeholders working to strengthen market infrastructure and international cooperation.
