Co-hosting Organizer
Foton Energy is the Co-hosting Organizer for the I-REC Standard Conference (ISC) 2027 that is taking place on 26 and 27 January 2027 in Istnabul, Türkiye.
Founded in 2019 in Istanbul, Foton was established to support the development of renewable energy procurement in Türkiye. After becoming an Accredited Issuer under the I-TRACK Foundation (previously, the I-REC Standard) in 2020, Foton helped improve market transparency and expand awareness of renewable energy certificates. The launch of the Foton Market platform in 2021 contributed to rapid market growth, with renewable energy procurement in Türkiye increasing from 3 million MWh in 2021 to over 11 million MWh by 2023.
In addition, Foton supports organisations in managing and reporting their sustainability commitments through its Foton ECO platform. With teams working across issuer operations, market services, and engineering, Foton continues to play an active role in developing renewable energy certificate markets.
