Public Consultation Announcement: First Review of the I-TRACK(G) Code

Duration: Two Months (until 28 July 2025) 

The International Tracking Standard Foundation (the “I-TRACK Foundation”) is pleased to announce the launch of a public consultation on the first review of the I-TRACK Product Code for Biogas and Biomethane (the “I-TRACK(G) Code”) developed by an international consortium (Consortium) consisting of Evident, Instituto Totum, and M-RETS in line with the I-TRACK Foundation’s International Attribute Tracking Standard (“Standard”).  

This consultation forms part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of tracking standards. 

Purpose of the Consultation:
The review focuses on assessing the relevance, clarity, and effectiveness of the I-TRACK(G) Code, a critical component of our global framework for sustainable and traceable product tracking. Feedback gathered during this process will inform potential updates and ensure the I-TRACK(G) Code remains fit for purpose in an evolving market and regulatory landscape. 

How to Participate:
We invite all stakeholders—including industry participants, regulatory bodies, civil society organizations, and the public—to provide their input via e-mail to the I-TRACK Foundation via secretariat@trackingstandard.org.
