The I-TRACK Foundation’s key governing document, the International Attribute Tracking Standard (Standard), was published in April 2021. Following the release of the Standard, the I-TRACK Foundation held an open consultation on the Standard and other governance documents conducted in phases over a 9–12-month period. At the end of the first consultation phase, we collected and revised the Standard based on stakeholder input.
In 2023, to maintain the relevance of the Standard, the I-TRACK Foundation initiated the second review phase and held another open consultation proposing several minor updates to various sections of the Standard. The consultation ended on 30 November 2023 with initial approval for the changes from the I-TRACK Foundation Board.
Throughout 2024, the I-TRACK Foundation Board and secretariat conducted further review of the proposed changes and feedback. With the changes now fully incorporated, the I-TRACK Foundation is pleased to announce the release of version 1.1 of the International Attribute Tracking Standard (use the button to the left to download the Standard).
The open consultation process allows the I-TRACK Foundation to maintain the robust and transparent creation of governance documents, policies, and processes. These consultations are created through stakeholder input and support, which is an invaluable resource to the I-TRACK Foundation.
